Admissions and next steps
The minimum age for the Shala is 6 years at the time of applying for admission.
How we administer admissions:
- Pahili 1 - For complete beginners.
- Pahli 2 - For those who know the Marathi alphabet and numbers and some basic conversational skills.
- Dusari - Usually students who have done Pahili 1 and 2 with us or those with good grasp of reading and writing Marathi alphabet, barakhadi, numbers, basic vocabulary and conversational skills, along with ability to recite some poems, shlokas and prayers.
- Tisari - Those who have completed Pahili 1 and 2 and Dusari with us.

About NORWEMA Marathi Shala
- NORWEMA Marathi Shala was founded in 2020 to help young people in the UK to learn Marathi with focus on conversational Marathi.
- The Shala is run by a set of enthusiastic teachers and volunteers, who make time to work with our students and their parents to propagate Marathi language and culture.
